QA Engineer
Unexpected Developments Ltd are currently looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join our talented team in Nottingham. The ideal candidate would have a demonstrable interest and familiarity of games and their development techniques. Key Responsibilities:
As a QA Engineer, you will be mentored by our QA Manager as you work on our projects. Your mentor will assist you in acquiring the necessary knowledge, so you can develop your testing skills to their full potential. Your mentor will also review your changes and advise you on changes until they are up to the high standards that we set for our work.
As you become more accomplished in your area of development, your mentor will lead you to becoming more involved in the product planning process. You will be expected to bring innovative ideas to enable the Unexpected Development to continually develop new solutions, be able to take on new projects and make a real difference to the team.
Required:
A good degree (or equivalent experience) in computer science, maths or another related subject, or at least 1-2 years’ QA testing experience
Experience with bug tracking and regression testing
Excellent communication skills
Ability to write clear and concise bug reports
Attention to detail
Good problem solving skills
A great team player, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all disciplines
A passion for the work
A desire to constantly improve and develop new skills
Must be eligible to work in the UK
Desirable:
Experience with version control
Experience with bug tracking software, e.g. Jira, Hansoft
Unreal or Unity experience
Understanding of agile development
